Bachelor's Programmes
Bachelor in Astronomy and Astrophysics
We are offering a new Bachelor program in Astronomy and Astrophysics starting in the Fall Semester 2025. The new Bachelor is unique in Switzerland. It will allow students to learn about Astrophysical processes and perform their own Astronomical observations. At the same time, they will obtain a solid background in Physics, Mathematics, and Computational Science.
With a Bachelor degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics plus a Minor in Physics, the students will be able to enter the Master program in Physics. We are also planning to offer a dedicated Master in Astronomy and Astrophysics. This program is schedueld to start in fall 2028.
Minors offered at the Department of Astrophysics
Our Department offers minors in the subjects of Astrophysics, Astronomy & Astrobiology, Computational Science and Simulations in Natural Sciences. These programs are targeted at students who wish to deepen their knowledge in these fields as an additional degree or a part of their current studies.
